Critique

Thank you for the very nice entry, and for your patience in the difficult conditions.

While many of the dogs were very nice, I found a number of incorrect mouths and some lacking the substance which is a feature of this breed.

VETERAN DOG (4)

1. Taylor’s Laoireby Feet of Flame) - lovely shape head and good expression, good shoulders, would prefer neater feet. Good spring of rib and bend of stifle. Moved well around the ring.

 2. Lipscombe’s Kellizlot Master Merchant - masculine head, ample reach of neck, good depth and spring of rib, well angulated rear and free striding on the move.

PUPPY DOG (2)

1. Callaghan’s Dalriach Lord of the Isles for Laoirebay – a smart youngster with lovely head, soft expression, nice level topline, good width of stifle. Well muscled, slightly long cast. Moved out well.

2. Hargreaves’ Charnborough Marathon Man at Forgeway - obviously slow to develop. Would like to see him when he is older.

JUNIOR DOG (5)

1. Walton’s Gallybob Gold Standard - a medium sized dog with beautiful balanced conformation. Gorgeous head, oval bone, neat feet, excellent muscling. Moved with great drive. Should have a great future.

2. Walker’s VandersVa Voom Avec Wroxham - another nice young dog, well shaped head, lovely soft expression, deep chest, well off for bone. Less mature than the first.

3. Pettifer’s Vanders Vita Di Riley.

1. Taylor’s Laoirebay Ocean Sunset - good bone and substance. Lovely dog with masculine head, correct stop which gives him good expression. Good reach of neck, deep brisket in good coat and condition. Moved very well.

2. Green’s Temynloah Quinlan at Viszalet - good head with pleasing soft eye, well sprung ribs but movement erratic.

3. Ward’s Copperwhite Carraway

LIMIT DOG (5)

1. Humphries’ Spyefire Priceless - gorgeous head, well conformed , good quality bone, good reach of neck, excellent angulation. well handled and presented.

2. Ryan and McDonald’s Berryessa Royal Affinity of Ryemills - lovely typey dog, well placed should and good well sprung rib.Well off for bone, has plenty of substance. Moved with drive holding his correct level topline.

3. Valentine and Sierrakowski’s Tullamore Troubador.

I was delighted to go over this handsome dog. Not exaggerated in any way, gorgeous head with soft expression, super forechest, neat feet. Would prefer a little more width to the stifle. Full of himself, obviously enjoying his day. Moved with drive. I would have loved to take him home. Pleased to award him DOG CC AND BOB

2. Griffin’s Corranroo Connexion - another beautiful dog to go over, superb outline. Lovely head, correct parallel planes. Good reach of neck flowing into good should placement. Deep chest. Moved with a free easy flowing stride. At one with his handler. RESERVE DOG CC

3. White’s Castlefenny Drummers Lad

VETERAN BITCH   

 1.  Humphries’ Sh Ch Spyefire Irish Jig - a quality bitch good outline, melting expression, well constructed, plenty of substance.  Nice driving movement

2. Horrocks Sh Ch/Ir Sh Ch Kellizlot StarAscendant over Itchenwych - another lovely bitch, smaller type, good conformation, sweet feminine head, neat feet.  Another pleasing mover

PUPPY BITCH (2)

1. O’Connor’s Maid in Ireland - nice head, good  topline and bend of stifle. Well grown. BEST PUPPY.

2. Sherratt’s Charnborough Glamour Girl - sweet puppy, not as mature as 1. Good shape head, moved well.

JUNIOR BITCH (3)

1. Brown and Goldsmith’s Taniswood Little Gem - lovely little bitch, super outline, good conformation throughout, lovely coat and condition. Moved well.

2. Brown and Goldsmith’s Taniswood Summer Rose – litter sister to one and also very nice. Pretty head, soft expression. Liked her shape and substance also moved well

3. Walton’s Gallybob Gold Charm

NOVICE BITCH (3)

Small and compact, well made, and balanced. Sweet head. Moved and showed well.

2. Hart’s Casafelice Balwen - taller on the leg than one, good reach of neck. Would prefer more bend of stifle. Lovely colour and moved well.

GRADUATE BITCH (7)

1. Newman and Solomons Taxus Cloud Forest Owl - lovely typey bitch. Good head with good shoulder placement. Deep brisket. Level topline, good tailset. Plenty of substance. In hard condition and moved well.

1. Chilcott’s Cunhail Chamomile - nice shape head, deep chest well off for bone strong quarters moved with drive.

2. Pywell’s Tullamore Tigerlily - femine head, neat feet. Would prefer a more level topline. Wide quarters, short hocks moved well.

3. Barry’s Rustasha Rising Royal

1. Callaghan’s Laoirebay Ocean Sunrise - lovely quality bitch well presented Beautiful shining coat. Sweet feminine head. Well placed shoulders. Deep chest, well ribbed up. Excellent conformation. A worthy winner of BITCH CC

2. Brown and Goldsmith’s Taniswood Whose that Girl - lovely typey bitch, well made, pleasing in head. Moved well holding her level topline.

3. Howatson’s Whispers about Vanders.

1. Barry’s Sh Ch Shireoak Hurricane Ruby Rustasha - really lovely bitch. Looked a picture. Sweet feminine head with gentle expression. Well balanced with good conformation

2. Barcrofts Sh Ch/ Ir Ch.Ballakinnish Mistinguette - very please to judge this well made bitch.

Has good shoulder placement and oval bone. Deep forechest and well ribbed up. Strong quarters and plenty of substance. Did not move quite as well as one.
