Critique
A breed that requires stamina - they can be such naughty youngsters, who eventually grow up and behave themselves - obviously owners with tenacity. You have done so much to improve your breed, now perhaps it is time to concentrate on feet. Any gundog is only as good as his feet, and the dogs with good feet were rather thin on the ground. They need to be tighter and have deeper pads.
PUPPY DOG (1)
1 Hargreaves' Charnborough Marathon Man At Forgeway a youngster of 10 months, pleasing head for age, with good neck and lay of shoulder, upper arm could have a little more length and angulation. He was good through the ribs, with depth spring and length, loin was short and strong, with well turned stifle - movement OK, he will firm up here as he finishes growing - Beautiful pearly sheen to his coat Best Puppy in Breed.
JUNIOR DOG (7,1a)
1 Blackmore 's Taniswood Dirty Dancer at Courtdown, Hard choice here 2 was not behaving well for his handler and was more difficult to access. 1's head was most pleasing, well made forequarters, ribs had spring depth and length, strong loin and topline and very well boned legs and good feet. Drove well from behind but toed in slightly in front.
2 Walton's Gallybob Gold Standard, slightly strong in head, very good angles to front and rear, very good through the chest with spring depth and length to the ribs, strong loin and good tailset, well boned legs, feet OK 1's slightly tighter, low hocks good stifle and a very sound mover.
3 Pettifer's Vanders Vita Di Riley Con Crosswest.
POST GRADUATE DOG (3)
1 Wade's Oldestone Snow Wizard, lacking in coat today, most pleasing head, good neck and lay of shoulder, upper arm could have more length and angulation, this makes him toe in a little in front movement. Very good through the ribs, with depth, length and spring. Loin topline and tailset all good, Good bone and feet OK.
2 Barry's Rustasha Red Hot Rhumba, Bigger boy, excellent head, neck and lay of shoulder, upper arm could have had more length and angulation, excellent ribs, loin, topline and tailset, well turned stifle, good bone, feet could be tighter, good low hocks, crabbed a little on the move.
3 Chilcott's Cumhail Calamus
LIMIT DOG (5,1a)
1 Ryan & McDonald's Berryessa Royal Affinity of Ryemills JW, One and two I liked very much - super head on this young man, good neck and lay of shoulder, could have had a little more angulation in upper arm - best of ribs, with spring depth and length, loin was strong as was topline, well placed tail, good turn of stifle and low hocks . Well boned legs and feet OK a very sound mover pleased to award him the Dog Reserve CC
2 Humphries's Spyefire Priceless, elegant man, super head, good neck and lay of shoulder, again could have had more angulation in upper arm, excellent through the ribs, with good topline and tailset, well turned stifle (1's slightly better) well bone legs and feet OK. Another very sound mover.
3 Lipscombe's Kellizlot River Legend
Res: Valentine & SierakowskI's Tullamore Troubador.
OPEN DOG (8)
1 Valentine's Sh Ch Tullamore Ted JW, Wow, very eye catching, beautiful balanced outline, very soundly made all through from his pleasing masculine head, good quarters front and rear, well made through the body with best of ribs, topline, loin and tailset. Really good bone and the best of feet, a beautiful pearly sheen to his coat, and the soundest of movers. Very pleased to award him Dog CC and Best of Breed. A really good example of the breed.
2 Davies' Corranroo Corsair At Zymore ShCM, most pleasing in head and balanced outline, not quite the angulation in upper arm of 1 which affected his front movement a little, excellent rib, loin and topline, moved out well on good legs and feet. In good coat.
3 Jarvis' Lowdon Quest For Fame
Res: Lipscombe's Kellizlot Master Merchant,
JUNIOR BITCH (4)
1 Goldsmith & Brown's Taniswood Summer Rose, 15 months good balanced outline, head is good for age, she had well made front and rear quarters, with excellent ribs, which had spring depth and length, low hocks good legs and feet - a very sound mover.
2 Walton's Gallybob Gold Charm, 15 months also, smaller neat package, balanced outline, good angles to front and rear, excellent ribs which had spring depth and length, short strong loin, good topline, moving most soundly on good legs and feet.
3 Goldsmith, & Brown's Taniswood Little Gem
Res: Jeffery Viewland Prairie Princess Of Llanelwy.
POST GRADUATE BITCH (8,1)
1 Humphries' Laoirebay All That Jazz Among Spyefire JW, Super outline, balanced, sweet feminine head, very well made front and rear quarters, with ribs that had spring depth and length, stong topline and good tailset, well boned legs and good feet, a sound mover.
2 Barry's Rustasha Rising Royal, Very pleasing balance outline, slightly finer on bone, sweet headed lady, with good angles to front and rear, excellent ribs, loin topline and tailset. Feet could be tighter - covered the ground well.
3 Chilcott’s Cumhail Chamomile.
LIMIT BITCH (10,2a)
1 Davies' Ballakinnish Mignonette At Zymore JW, Bitch CC
2 Wade's Cumhail Cranberry Both had super outlines, pleasing feminine heads. Well angulated quarters to the front and rear, Both had excellent spring depth and length of rib, with short loins and good toplines and tailsets, Well boned legs and good feet, and both were very sound movers. 1 had coat, 2 was just a little naked - but it will grow back.
3 McDonald’s Courtdown Summer Breeze Over Roanjora
OPEN BITCH (7,4a)
1 Barry's Sh Ch Shireoak Hurricane Ruby Rustasha (Imp)Sweet headed lady, with
balanced outline, well made quarters to front and rear, excellent through the ribs, strong loin and good topline and tailset a very sound mover on good legs and feet, beautiful pearly coat. Bitch Reserve CC
2 Walker's Sh Ch Wroxham Merry Maid, Head just a fractionally stronger for me, well made front and rear quarters, with good ribs, loin topline and tailset, well boned legs and good feet - a good mover but one had the edge here.
3 Pitman's Sh Ch Rustasha Rare Vision Via Kerrabi JW ShCM.
