RESCUE UPDATE

My apologies to anyone trying to contact me recently. We have been away for over a month and then had problems with our telephone since returning.

Hopefully all is back to normal now.

Very pleased to report that both Charlie and Tide have new homes. Many thanks to everyone who made enquiries and offers of homes for these two.

You may remember AMBER the rather large 7 year old lady who was  in need of a very understanding home.I am delighted to say that we found just the right home for her.She is living on a farm in Scotland with Red,also a rescue dog, they have the run of the house and farm and they have been enjoying all the recent sunshine and the lovely smells from the BBQ !!

She is very vocal and is a "smiler" greeting her new family with a huge grin showing off all her teeth which makes everyone laugh encouraging Amber to be even more vocal.

She is losing weight rapidly and has had the thumbs up from the vet.

I have recently heard about a 9 year old entire male who is looking for the right home.If you are able to offer him a home please contact me for further details.

Rescue is here to help the Irish Red and White Setters that find themselves without a home or are in need of a new home.

Our breed is fortunate that most of its breeders continue to care for their stock even after they have been sold to new homes.  Some dogs come into Rescue as strays, so we are unable to trace their owners or breeders; some come into Rescue because of a change of circumstances in their owner?s life-styles, all no fault of the dog.  A breeder will often take a dog back and try to re-home them but this is not always possible so Rescue will lend a helping hand and hopefully help the breeder to find suitable homes for them. So contact the breeder first, then the Club Rescue Secretary or a member of the Rescue Sub-Committee, contact numbers listed below.

Rescue dogs come in all shapes and sizes, all with different temperaments, some are brought up with children and other animals in loving family homes, others have lived their life in a kennel and need extra special socializing, lots of Tender Loving Care, which each and every one of them deserve.

Pictured in our own photo gallery are a few of our happy, healthy and much loved Rescue dogs, all settled in their new homes and with a new lease of life, thanks to their new owners.
